On Monday my route planner (Louisa) and I headed north in her trusty stead to Glasgow. The aim was to drive most of the route, check out the terrain, where I was going to stay and generally use the trip to focus the mind!!
Louisa and I are very puzzled how despite going North the route I am taking is not especially hilly - except what will be Day 9 - I may fit an engine to my bike for that day! Despite some hair raising roads through the North of England (all driven very skilfully - not by me I hasten to add), the trip was a great success.
Anyway am off for another stint on the bike - keep on pedalling!
